Our Story

Perry Rubber Bike Shop opened in historic Savannah, Georgia, May 2010. The bike shop’s name comes from the famous French race the Paris Roubaix also known as the “Hell of the North,” known for its challenging cobblestone. The name was selected before our bike shop’s location was chosen. It’s a fun coincidence that “Perry Rubber Bike Shop” ended up on the cobblestone paved Perry Lane at the intersection with Savannah’s well known Bull Street. A few years after opening, we learned that our building was also home to a bicycle shop in the early 20th century.

With over 45 years of cycling experience, David began working in a bike shop at 12 years old. He has competed in both the USA and Europe and is is the founder of Perry Rubber Bike Shop.
